Part Time Psychiatrist – Partial Care Program – Prospect House

Board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry.  Valid New Jersey Physician’s License.  Valid registration in New Jersey to prescribe controlled, dangerous substances.  Valid Federal registration to prescribe controlled, dangerous substances.  Personal professional liability insurance coverage of an amount satisfactory to MHAEM. Continued employment contingent upon good standing in the professional community.

Assume professional responsibility for treatment and services provided by Prospect House and assure medical appropriateness of same. Assure that all psychiatric and medical services provided by Prospect House meet acceptable standard of medical practice. Provide input into treatment and service planning documented by signing off on individual recovery plans and reviews of same. Evaluate applicants to program to help determine their eligibility for services with an initial assessment and ongoing review at least two times per year. Provide consultation to Prospect House staff. Provide medication and related services to program members. Supervise the Prospect House Advance Practical Nurse under the terms of a Collaborative Practice Agreement which you mutually develop. Supervise nursing students under the terms of an affiliation agreement which is mutually developed. Leadership of member groups such as “Ask the Doctor” to facilitate treatment. Be available for crisis consultation with staff via the telephone as required at times other than the scheduled days at Prospect House. Complete clinical and medical documentation in electronic clinical record system accurately and timely.
