Talk Saves Lives – Introduction to Suicide Prevention

July 22, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EDT

FREE In Person Event

We understand that effective communication, sharing, and engaging with families and youth is crucial in supporting those who are struggling with mental health challenges. Suicide continues to be a major issue that deeply impacts youth, families, and communities as a whole. That’s why, in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Library of the Chathams is committed to raising awareness, promoting prevention, and providing essential education and tools to help communities navigate these difficult topics.

The “Talk Saves Lives” program is a 90-minute session that will address both the facts and myths surrounding mental health and suicide. Participants will gain valuable tips on how to support or help someone who may be struggling. This program will equip individuals to recognize the signs and take action, and assist in fostering a supportive, caring environment for those in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing these challenges.
